Ines Marchetti

Ines keeps the record. She came to the house in 2014 from the custody division of a Milanese bank, where she had spent eleven years making sure that what a statement said and what a vault held were the same thing. At the house she runs both the custody book and the statement engine, and holds that a statement is the one document a bank should never make interesting. Her department signs every statement with a fingerprint that any client can verify at the desk or on the verify page, a practice she introduced in her first year and has never had to defend.
